Product Details
This motif 'Navagunjara' is a creature composed of nine different animals in the Pata-Chitra style of painting, of the Indian state of Odisha. The beast is considered a form of the Hindu god Vishnu, or of Krishna, who is considered an Avatar of Vishnu. I had the privilege of learning this art from the folk artists of Odisha. This, made to order, piece will look beautiful in your living room. It is painted on a 18*24 inch canvas and size can be customized. The photograph may show a very slight colour variation.
About the brand
Ritcha at the Easel is a collection of oil / acrylic paintings and sketches that try to capture the transitory beauty of everyday moments and memories. I am a multi-media artist based out of Delhi. I borrow Monet’s words to describe my inspiration , “I perhaps owe, having become an artist, to flowers”...but, I find inspiration all around me. I love to experiment with mediums and surfaces. I believe creativity cannot be restricted to an identity based on materials. I occasionally paint in plein-air, but I feel most comfortable in my studio, at home painting from my memory, field sketches and my photography. A book lover and an avid reader, I also create beautiful unique metal bookmarks that can be found on the store.
