Product Details
Tanjavur Kattam, also called Dayakattam, is a race game from Tamil Nadu that bears resemblance to Pagade and the more well-known Ludo. There are many modern versions of the game - Parcheesi, Sorry!, and Ludo are among the many Westernized commercial versions of the game. The American equivalent of Ludo deviates less from the original and acknowledges its Indian heritage by naming it ‘Parcheesi, the Royal Game of India.’ This exquisitely hand embroidered game set comes with metal dice (called daayam), wooden pawns all packed in a fabric pouch.
